RTS Ontario FAQs
When Ontario County joined the Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority and we changed our name to RTS Ontario, it might have seemed like other changes were coming, too.
We want you to know that while we have a new look and name, our commitment to providing the safe, reliable, and convenient bus service remains the same.
Q. Are fares changing?
A. No, fares are staying the same.
Q. Are you still accepting bus tokens?
A. We’re accepting tokens through December 31, 2014. After that, you may pay the $1 fare with exact change or use a value pass. $9 and $17 value passes can be purchased from Bus Operators Monday through Friday; please have exact change ready.
Q. Are RTS Ontario routes changing?
A. There are no plans to change the RTS Ontario Routes. RTS will be conducting a regional Service Audit in 2015 across all its regional counties. Bus Operators and customers in Ontario County will be asked for their feedback, questions or concerns on our current service.
Q. Have the bus connections between Ontario County and Seneca County changed?
A. The connections between Ontario County and Seneca County haven’t changed. The transfer points are still at the Geneva Transit Hub and Geneva General Hospital.
Q. Have the bus connections between Ontario County and Monroe County changed?
A. The connections between Ontario and Monroe County haven’t changed. The transfer point is still at the Eastview Mall, in Victor.
Q. Has Dial-A-Ride service changed in Ontario County?
A: No, the Dial-A-Ride service has not changed and is still offered to customers who do not live along a fixed route.
Q. Are the schedule times changing for our fixed routes?
A. The schedule times are not changing. All schedules can be located online at myRTS.com/Ontario, by contacting RTS Ontario at 585-394-2250 or by emailing us at Ontario@myRTS.com.
Q. Are there any changes to bus stop locations?
A. No, our stops remain the same, and customers may flag down a bus along our fixed routes to be picked up.
