As a New York State Public Authority, we purchase a variety of items and services for all our subsidiaries. All contracting opportunities are advertised in the Rochester Business Journal as well as the New York State Contract Reporter and depending on the Solicitation, advertising may also appear in the Minority Reporter or Transit Talent .
If you have a question about a specific solicitation, in accordance with NYS law, each formal solicitation has a specific designated staff that is identified on the Cover Page of the Solicitation. No other person affiliated with RGRTA may discuss an active solicitation.

As a New York State Public Authority that also receives funding from multiple sources, such as the Federal Transit Administration and New York State. RGRTA has to comply with a variety of programs including MWBE, DBE, and SDVOB. Whether you are a prime contractor or a member of one of these programs, we strongly recommend you review the resources we provide . Each solicitation will indicate on its cover page whether which programs apply and identify the appropriate goal applied to it.
