RTS will offer free bus rides on New Year’s Eve. The offer is applicable to all routes beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, up until the last lineup, which will depart at 1 a.m.

As of 4:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, customers will pay regular fare of $1 per ride. January 1 also marks the end of RTS’ ‘fare holiday,’ which provided free trips or transfers from the RTS Transit Center.

He added, “When regular fares resume on Jan. 1, at $1 per ride, RTS will continue to be the most convenient and affordable public transit option in New York State.”
