RTS is holding an information session on the results of the Rochester Vanpool Feasibility Study on Monday, September 21.  The session will be held at the Kate Gleason Auditorium in the Central Library of Rochester at 115 South Ave between 11:30 am and 1:30pm.  The public is invited to stop by the informal session at their convenience.

About Vanpooling

The main features of Vanpooling include:

·         One vehicle -typically a van or SUV- is operated by a passenger who is designated as the Vanpool Driver

·         The Vanpool Program Operator (RTS or a third-party vendor) is responsible for vanpool organization and vehicle maintenance

·         Participants-usually five to 12 passengers-decide on who drives and how monthly costs are shared

Vanpooling offers multiple benefits for commuters, including reduced cost, free or preferred parking; commuter tax credits; and productive travel time.
