Paying Your Way: Fares and Passes

Our low fares make RTS Wayne one of the most affordable travel options available!

Standard Fares (one-way trip)

Standard Service — $1.00 per customer per trip
Standard Service Child Age 5 to 11 — $0.50 per trip
No fare is charged for a child under age 5 traveling with a fare-paying adult. Limit one child.
Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Standard fares are required to ride any of the established RTS Wayne routes with designated stops. The schedules show the major stops but there are also additional stops along the route.

Reduced Standard Fares (one-way trip)

Adults age 60 or older — $0.50
Persons with disabilities — $0.50
If you are a person with a disability or you are over the age of 60, you get a discount off the Standard Service. You must show proof of age, or a Half-Fare Disability Card issued by the office to receive the discounted fare. Contact the office for an application. This reduced fare does NOT apply to Route Deviation. A different discount applies to Dial-A-Ride.

Value Passes

Value Pass for 11 rides — $10
Value Pass for 23 rides — $20
You can use a Value pass to pay the Standard fare and Reduced Standard fare in RTS Genesee, RTS Livingston, RTS Ontario, RTS Orleans, RTS Seneca, RTS Wayne, and RTS Wyoming. These passes save you money if you ride the established routes frequently at the Standard fare.
Buy passes on the bus or from our office on 7227 Route 31 Lyons, NY 14489. You may pay with cash or check.

It is preferable to call two to three hours ahead of when you need the ride. Your pickup time is scheduled on a first come, first served basis. You can schedule Route Deviation trips up to one week in advance. You must call by 3:00 PM on Friday to make a Monday reservation.

You can schedule a curb-to-curb trip that travels outside ¾ mile of an established RTS Wayne route. You must schedule a Dial-A-Ride at least two weeks in advance. Call 315-946-5617 between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM to reserve your spot on a first come, first served basis. Your pickup time is scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

How to Pay the Fare
